Enhance the biliterate and trilingual abilities of students by providing a language-rich environment, various bilingual activities, and English Phonics Lessons taught by NETs in order to strengthen students' listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. 3. Provide different learning experiences for students to construct knowledge and develop generic skills through school-based curriculum, note taking, e-learning, higher-order thinking strategies and cross-curriculum activities. 4. Provide morning exercise, reading time, eye exercise session and rhythmic dance lessons; emphasize environmental protection education and equip school with wind and solar energy systems.
      • Development of Key Tasks Reading: 1. Join the reading scheme provided by The Commercial Press (HK) Ltd. 2. Carry out a school-based reading rewarding scheme. 3. A list of Chinese and English compulsory readings are set. 4. Parent volunteers do storytelling for P.1 to P.3 students. 5. Organize reading workshops and seminars. IT: 1. Implement the BYOD policy from P.4 to P.6 and use English e-books to replace the paper ones. 2. Enhance students' capability of using information technology via e-learning through core subjects daily routine. Project Learning: 1. P.1 to P.3 students select a topic in General Studies and investigate it from different perspectives. 2. P.4 students create their own water filter and use Micro-bit to check water clarity. 3. P.5 and P.6 students complete a project by gathering and analyzing information, setting questionnaires and having PowerPoint presentation. Moral & Civic Education: Use the 5 core values of Catholic Education as the backbone of the whole curriculum.
      • Development of Generic Skills Enhance students' generic skills, for example, creative writing, numeracy skills and project learning, through various learning activities and teaching strategies.
      • Whole School Approach to Cater for Student Diversity 1. Provide extra lessons for the students with low learning ability before and after school. 2. Provide support for transition from kindergartens to Primary One and from Primary Six to Secondary One. 3. Provide learning adaptation. 4. Carry out whole-class and pull-out enrichment programmes. (For example: English Elite Classes, Math Elite Classes, STEM Group, and Sports and Aesthetics Activities.)
      • Whole School Approach to Integrated Education Our school has developed a student support team and we make good use of the learning support grant, and enhanced speech therapy grant to help students who have special educational needs. We have specific measures in supporting students with SEN in the following ways: 1. Provide remedial classes and SEN classes for students with low ability before and after school. 2. Adjust the contents in teaching, homework and assessments to build up students' confidence. 3. Design tailor-made teaching materials to help students learn effectively. 4. Have meetings and work closely with the parents to help students at school and at home.
      • Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking(NCS) Students Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese. Help students to learn in groups and provide individual supports and help.
      • Curriculum Tailoring and Adaptation 1. Cater for students' learning diversity through school-based support services and lesson study. 2. Grade skipping and homework adjustment policies help students learn more effectively.
      • Home-School Co-operation 1. Regular meetings between parents and the Principal to enhance good communication. 2. PTA organizes parent-child activities and educational talks and workshops for parents regularly. 3. Parent volunteers help school carry out various activities with full support.
